OUR STORY

GrantWalker Parts was established April 1979 as a Ford Cortina Auto Dismantler, we became known as Melbourne's best Cortina Parts Specialists selling parts all over Australia.

1982 GRANT WALKER PARTS branched into Ford Escorts as a new product range and soon began to stock a range of new genuine and non genuine parts and panels to complement the vast range of used parts, now becoming Melbourne's biggest Auto Dismantler of Cortina and Escort models.

1983 saw the introduction of Ford Laser, Meteor and Telstar to the range of vehicles already being dismantled, which now forced management to start looking for available land to build a bigger facility to cope with the amount of vehicles now being processed.
In 1987 we introduced the Ford Falcon, Fairlane & LTD range knowing the new facility was not far from being completed,April 1988 saw us move in to our new premises vastly improving our efficiency and customer service.

1989 saw the next phase which was to increase our new lines to include every day replacement parts such as spark plugs, filters, ball joints etc, as well as the stock we already carried in new genuine & non genuine panels and lights.

1997 We introduced a totally new range of motor vehicle with the explosive growth of Hyundai & Daewoo we decided it would be timely to start dismantling the Korean vehicles.We are now expanding our range of new parts to accommodate the growing requirements for these models.

1999 Now a Retailer/Wholesaler to an expanded range of new non genuine panels and lights to include all makes and models of motor vehicles. This decision was bought about when our local importer of that product ceased operation giving us an opportunity to expand further.

2001 We are now importing directly from Hyundai and Daewoo in Korea, to better service our customers, with an extensive range of new panel and mechanical parts unrivaled by our competitors.

2005 We have completed extensive showroom and phone sales renovations and entered into online sales both on our own website and eBay, Where we offer no fuss and easy transactions completed online for customers Australia wide or International!

2008 We now purchased a second factory where we now dismantle commercials!! Including Ford Transits, Econovans, Couriers, Explorers, Kia Pregio and K2700 and much much more!
