The Walker Motorsport team was recently created to continue the exciting adventures of the Ford Escort from the magical late 70’s and early 80’s rallying scene.

Grant Walker started Grant Walker Parts in the late 70’s and built the initial customer base around his successful time behind the wheel of a Mk2 Escort. 30 Years on Grant Walker Parts has expanded well beyond classic fords but the desire and passion to enjoy classic rear wheel drives cars has returned.

Bringing the magic back to the forests is what it’s all about. Screaming naturally aspirated engines, induction noise, side ways action and good times with friends and family. Walker Motorsport currently consists of three Mk2 Escorts and a Hyundai Excel. The shining armour of the team is the newly built Group 4 Mk2 Escort. Grant Walker and Luke Sytema both competed AND completed the George Derrick Memorial VCRS recently at Avoca. Grant & Craig finishing in 9th position overall with no problems at all and Luke & Aaron coming in at 21st position with his recently repaired Escort back on the road after his rollover at Bonnie Doon. Both drivers just wanting a finish to get some more km's in the bank before pushing that little bit harder next time at Porepunkah!
